WOW! WOW! WOW! CHCKL is 7 now! What an amazing adventure that we have had so far! Since the beginning of this dream, we continually see the hand of God upon us. From a small and humble beginning of just 20 people we are now a thriving church of close to 1300 people! Hallelujah! So many lives have been inspired and touched along the way and it is our dream to continue to bring about such change to this part of the world - to bring the tangible presence of God into the lives of those we come in contact with. Church, this is our desire. This is our dream. And as long as we are still able, let us not lose heart in doing this for I know in due season we shall be rewarded – a reward not just for ourselves but for the generations to come that they may then pass on this legacy, of a totally sold-out spirit for Jesus to the next generation. I believe this is what revival is all about – to bring about the continuity of the working of the Spirit of God in the lives of men.

And in conjunction with this year’s celebration, we will also be raising our annual mission pledge. This year we are aiming to raise RM400K to fund the ministry of youth evangelism and mission locally and also globally. Young people are our future. They are the leaders of our world today. As a church we cannot afford to not have them let alone lose them. I pray we will change our mindset towards them and look at them differently. Yes, they may not think or do things the way we used to. Well, it is simply because the world has changed and so are the needs and demands of the youths today. Church, I do not want us to lose the ability to influence them. I do not want them to see us as outdated and irrelevant. But instead they should look to us as leaders, as people they want to model, as fathers they are proud of. In order to achieve that, let us not be afraid to get into their world and show them the way to the Father. And it is with this purpose that we are raising our mission pledge this year. Church, let us do this together. May I encourage you to not lose heart while doing good for in due season you shall reap a mighty harvest!
