Founder

Kevin was born in Sandakan, Sabah. In 1987, at the age of 12, he came to know the LORD and received Jesus as his LORD and Savior in the Anglican Church that he was attending.

In 1992, after finishing his high school, he answered the call of the LORD and went into full-time ministry. He started out as a youth worker and brought about much breakthrough to the youth group that he was leading.

In 1997, Kevin enrolled into City Harvest Bible Training Center (CHBTC) Singapore, and this marked the turning point in his life. He did not just receive a theological education, but also a renewed passion to reach the lost in the harvest fields, as well as a change outlook toward ministry.

Three years later in September 2000, God gave Kevin a vision to pioneer a new work in Kuala Lumpur, by raising up a group of people who would be passionate for God and fervent in taking the message of the gospel all over their country. With this word, Kevin, together with the help of Rev. Dr. Kong Hee from City Harvest Church (CHC) Singapore, stated CHCKL on July 7, 2001.

Over the years, CHCKL has grown from a small beginning of just 20 people, to a strong church of 1800 right now, and Kevin was officially ordained as a Reverend on November 23, 2008. He was also named as one of The Outstanding Youth Persons of Sabah 2009 (TOYPS), in the Moral and Religious Leadership category on August 15, 2009.

Kevin’s inspiring and uncompromising preaching has touched and transformed many lives not just in Malaysia, but other countries as well, as he travels extensively to do God’s work. To date, Kevin has spoken in Australia, Indonesia, Japan, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and United States of America.
